Davy Craig, a dedicated NUFC Fans Foodbank volunteer, is releasing a new single titled “Kittiwakes” to support Newcastle Foodbank. Inspired by the kittiwakes that nest on the iconic structures of the Tyne Bridge and the Baltic, the single is currently being crowdfunded by Davy online here.
Speaking on the upcoming release of the single, Davy said, “I saw a photo of Kittiwakes by Ava Rowell and suddenly had the idea to write some lyrics about how they live on the Tyne Bridge and the Baltic. I thought about how they feel comfortable and safe to live in land (the only place in the world they do so) and thought of a metaphor for how people come to Tyneside and fall in love with the place and the people. I then wrote and recorded a song, and I knew I’d release it, exclusively to try and raise funds for the NUFC Fans Foodbank (Newcastle Foodbank)
